BRUSHES, BOTTLES AND BUCCANEERS
Short on time or not up for the rigors of our Jungle Tours? No worries! Belize Jungle Limo Tours has created a one-of-a-kind adventure that hits this sweet spot. We call it our “Brushes, Bottles and Buccaneers” Tour!
Your tour starts in the country’s largest and most historic town, Belize City – which, of course, is conducted in one of our luxurious 31-foot, 20 passenger, super stretch SUV limousines! Your professional chauffeur and private tour guide will begin your adventure by escorting you on a 45-minute “best of” Belize City tour, visiting our most famous landmarks. Along the way your guide will deep dive into the history and culture of Belize and its people. But to spice things up a little, you’ll be regaled with an intriguing and fanciful folk story about the “real” Pirates of the Caribbean that trolled the Belizean shores in the 1600s – with a particular focus on our most famous pirate, Captain Henry Morgan. We call this part of the adventure, “The Legend of Captain Morgan and the Curse of the Grey Lady”. The tale is gripping, chock full of interesting facts, and injected with fun legend and folk lore as well. Storytelling at its best!
And speaking of spicing things up – it’s Belize! It’s pirates! So there HAS to be… RUM!! While enjoying the tour and the folk lore, you will enjoy a generous sampling and selection of our famous Belizean rums.
After the City Highlights tour, the main event occurs! You will be whisked to our art studio, where you will be greeted by one of our renown artists in residence, who will lead you thorough a fun and colorful folk art painting class, giving you keen insights into the history and traditions of Belizean/Mayan/Garifuna art – and where the rum tasting continues! At the end of the class, you will leave with a Belizean folk art masterpiece that YOU created, to take back with you as a lasting memory of your un-BELIZE-able trip!
